Coníferes

Coníferes

Carnicero, Marta

Joel lives in the Waldens, an idyllic community in the middle of nature that rejects new technologies and advocates a life faithful to the customs of the past. In order to get closer to Alina, a newcomer who has him fascinated, he begins to send letters to himself at her house. Everything goes well until Alina delivers one that he did not write, the content of which suggests that the sender knows him better than anyone. As the relationship progresses, so do the misunderstandings and threats of an anonymous saboteur determined to separate the couple. Little by little, and without realizing it, Joel finds himself trapped in a haunting maze of mirrors where his reflection seems to take on a life of its own as he struggles to take the reins of his destiny. Marta Carnicero Hernanz masterfully weaves the threads of this touching story about identity, love and the anguish of losing them.
