Carnicero, Marta
Joel lives in Walden, an idyllic community surrounded by nature whose members reject new technologies and advocate a life faithful to the old ways. In order to get closer to Alina, a newcomer who has him fascinated, begins to send letters to himself at the young woman's house. Everything goes smoothly until Alina hands him one that he has not written and whose content suggests that the anonymous sender knows him better than anyone. As the relationship with Alina progresses, there are mistakes and threats from this epistolary saboteur determined to separate the couple. Slowly, without realizing it, Joel is trapped in a haunting maze of mirrors where his reflection seems to take on a life of its own as he struggles to regain the reins of his destiny. Marta Carnicero masterfully weaves the threads of this moving story about identity, love and the anguish of losing one and the other.
