Confessions d'una màscara

Confessions d'una màscara

Mishima, Yukio

Within the iron and immutable traditional structures of Japan in the thirties and forties of the last century, with the war in the background, Koo-chan, a young emerald and sick (alter ego of the author), begins in life and he discovers that the impulses that move him are very different from those of the rest of the young men of his age: the girls make him neither cold nor hot; the smell of sweat from the stools carrying excrement and the tight pants of the boys who do gymnastics spur him on the most in his discovery of sex, and, to top it off, being an uncontrollable fascination with spills of blood and by death. To survive he needs a mask, a mask that, in too many dark times in history, has made it possible to camouflage, in Japan and everywhere, the true self of many people.
