Civilización olvidada

Building on his groundbreaking theory that the origins of Egypt's Great Sphinx date back well beyond 2500 B.C., geologist Robert Schoch reviews the scientific evidence for an advanced civilization prior to ancient Egypt, Sumer, and Greece, as well as the catastrophe that destroyed early high culture almost 12,000 years ago and what its legacy can teach us about our own future. Combining evidence from multiple scientific disciplines, Schoch argues that the abrupt end of the last ice age, around 9700 BC, was due to agitated solar activity, with its consequent impact on higher cultures and civilizations of the time and a delay for mankind for thousands of years. The civilization resurfaced around 3500 BC. Schoch explores how many ancient megalithic monuments, petroglyphs, underground cities, indigenous traditions, and legends fit logically into place, including the origins of the reinterpreted rongorongo glyphs of Easter Island and the ancient burial complex of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey.
