1986, Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Danny Ryan is a hard-working dockworker, loving husband, loyal friend, and occasional muscle for the Irish crime syndicate that oversees much of the city. He longs for something more and most of all dreams of starting over somewhere new and far away. But when a modern-day Helen of Troy sparks a war between rival mob factions, Danny finds himself drawn into a conflict he can't escape. Now it's up to him to harness the void to protect his family, those friends closest to his siblings, and the only home he's ever known.
