Hollywood. The city where dreams are made. Danny Ryan is on the run after losing a bloody war between criminal gangs on the East Coast. The mob, the police and the FBI want him dead or in prison. Accompanied by his youngest son, his elderly father, and the battered remnants of his loyalist faction of soldiers, Danny sets off on the classic American migration to California, ready to start a new life. A calm and peaceful existence. The feds, however, track him down and ask him for a favor that could earn him a fortune or cost him his life. And when a movie based on his past starts shooting in Hollywood, Danny demands a share of the profits and begins to rebuild his criminal empire. He then he falls in love. Of an attractive movie star who also drags a shady past. When their worlds collide in an explosion that could kill them both, Danny Ryan is forced to fight for survival in the city where dreams are born. Or where they will die.
