Compiled and arranged thematically, Quotations from Stalin collects fragments of both the texts and the speeches made by Iósif Stalin, who was general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1952. After his death in 1953 and with the crimes that were attributed to him as a backdrop, his work was silenced and all traces of his legacy were erased. This compilation, prepared by Dr. Borja García Vázquez, rescues the essentials of his ideas from oblivion in order to be able to assess the historical figure who directed the course of the Soviet State, and his influence on the foundations and future of that important period of communism.
