Physical exercise produces undoubted benefits throughout the body, in our health and, of course, in the brain. However, in the last decade, numerous neuroscientific advances that indicate what type of exercise is good for according to what aspects have gone relatively unnoticed; that the intensity of the exercise is a crucial factor to obtain concrete results; which are the brain areas that benefit from moderate or vigorous exercise, as well as the latest advances in the effect it has on depression, anxiety, cognition, aging and neurodegeneration. Although we are far from being able to develop a personalized exercise plan useful for each human being, which produces benefits for the different physiological systems of the body.
