Punishing the beast is the transcription of a spiraling journey into ethical hell. It begins with the animalization of the poetic self and the acceptance of the intrinsic ferocity in the human being and culminates (or not) with an exposure of the cruelty reached by the culture of punishment, so present in today's society, and a questioning of its real effectiveness.
