Cases en el crepuscle

Keyserling, Eduard von

After her younger brother's death in a duel, the young Baroness Fastrade von der Warthe returns to the family home, the dilapidated Paduren Palace, surrounded by meadows and birch forests, to care for her father and aunt. For the whole family life follows its course slowly, in the midst of a heavy sadness. But one day, the young Baron Dietz von Egloff shows up at the palace to try to resolve a question about the boundaries of the forest. Since the old landowner can no longer deal with it, the daughter takes charge of the situation and soon falls in love with the baron. In any case, the relationship is not well regarded in the house, because the neighbor has a reputation for being a slob and a slob. Even so, for her it is the only way out of a world in which she is drowning.
