Casada i callada
Zafón, Emma
Like the other girls in the village, the narrator of this story has a wonderful, inescapable milestone: to marry and have children. She has no other choice, then, than to rush to find a boyfriend with whom to walk holding hands while making promises of eternal love. Like a gift from heaven, Ximo appears, so handsome and with that bullfighter style, and he takes her dancing one night during the August festivities. She feels like the luckiest woman on Earth because it's not just that Ximo is cool, it's also that he comes from a family of factory owners. They marry with the idea of having a love nest like the one in so many movies, not foreseeing that love nests sometimes turn into cages of loneliness.
