Camino a Macondo
ficciones 1950-1966
García Márquez, Gabriel
García Márquez argued on various occasions that in order to write a book, you must first learn to write it and, only then, face the typewriter. It took him almost twenty years to "live" in Macondo, to learn to write that all-time portent of literature that is One Hundred Years of Solitude. This anthology, made with the aim of tracking the career of the writer, compiles all the published texts in which that mythical universe was taking shape. From his notes for a 1950 novel and the first stories, to La Hojarasca, El colonel has no one to write to him and La mala hora in 1966, in what is the effervescent prelude to the creation of One Hundred Years of Solitude.
