Calla i paga
encontres entre política i psicoanàlisi
García López, Inés
Capitalist discourse generates identities for all tastes, even for every type of person, but that does not guarantee that we will end up feeling satisfied. What impact does this identity production machinery have on contemporary subjects? How does this affect citizens and society as a whole? And what are the invisible limits and violence that cause each subject to be considered unique? With the massive hyperconnectivity and radical individualization that have taken place simultaneously in recent years, each of us is required to find some kind of balance that will allow us to function. But in this new context, what does it mean to "work"? Inés García López proposes a lucid reflection on this paradoxical situation and wonders if it is pertinent to talk about a new subject of capitalism and what its different manifestations are. Calla i paga opens the debate on how the mechanisms of production of the subjectivity of our time operate, what are the new ways of making a social bond and how the subject -always with precarious balances- can resist them.
