Busquemos otros montes y otros ríos

(de la palabra al silencio)

Carreño, Antonio (1938- )

This monograph tries to answer the difficult dilemma presented by the poetic work of distinguished contemporary poets (Pedro Salinas, Octavio Paz, José Ángel Valente) to the following questions: who is that Other that is configured in the lyrical work of a poet? How does it arise, develop and finally define itself? How does it differ from other personal references and how is the problem of its identity traced? To what extent does the political, social and cultural map transmit, hide, mask, evidence o defines an identity; that is to say, who one is lyrically, how one stands in front of the other, what is one's function as a member of a community, how one responds to reality, how one defines it and what are the defense mechanisms (their masks) that they interpose between this Me and your Other? And what features constitute identity and how is it defined in the lyrical trajectory of a poet? Where are its crises, questions or ruptures established? How is it detected and configured as a language? What historical references , personal, social or mythical are common to you? The questioning is multiple and unfathomable as a whole. A confused symphony of echoing voices, multiplied, the same and no less different as subjects of a story always in transit.
