Breve historia de la mitología en la Hispania Prerromana
tartesos, celtíberos, íberos, vacceos y vetones
Avial Chicharro, Lucía
A brief history of mythology in pre-Roman Hispania focuses on a contextualised study of the mythology of the various peoples who inhabited the Iberian Peninsula before the arrival of the Romans. To this end, various materials are used to help the reader to understand them, including images, epigraphs, reliefs and texts, especially by Latin authors, which allows the mythology of the pre-Roman peoples to be presented in a broad and didactic way. In this way, any reader interested in learning about the religious and cultic aspects of the pre-Roman peoples of the Iberian Peninsula will be able to approach our work, finding in it various epigraphs with the main myths, as well as other sections related to the divine and heroic world. Currently, in the publishing market, there are not many works dedicated to this subject, but they are scarce and focused on scientific dissemination. For this reason, this book will try to bring the subject of mythology closer to the general public, allowing them to get to know the main stories of these peoples, as well as their divinities, heroes and aspects linked to life and death.
