Marin Silvestre, Dolors
Martí i Font, Jordi
The history of anarchism begins with utopian socialism, federal republicanism, and the labor movement. From here, anarcho-collectivism, anarcho-communism and the great repression that the state exerted on the organized libertarian movement left an end of the century marked by violent confrontations and the construction of an expressed cultural and social space. in athenaeums, schools, cultural groups and unions until the constitution of the CNT. It advocated the improvement of the living conditions of the popular classes by promoting spaces for socialization and the creation of alternatives made a reality in 1936. Anarchism did not disappear with the loss of the revolution and the war, but was reinvented and today is keeps alive as one of the most outstanding differentiating features of the human community that lives in the space of the world that we call Catalan Countries.
