Boquitas pintadas

Puig, Manuel

Little Mouths Painted follows the story of Juan Carlos Etchepare, a donjuán with no other job than dividing his time between three women: Nené, a humble girl who is truly in love with him; Mabel, a good girl who is as unfaithful as Juan Carlos himself; and the widow Di Carlo, frowned upon by rumors that she does not respect her widowhood. When tuberculosis forces the young man to remain internal for a long time and to get away from all of them, he begins a formidable exposition of human relationships and the value of affective bonds against the bonds established by desire.
