Bodas de sangre

Along with La casa de Bernarda Alba and Yerma, Bodas de sangre is one of the great tragedies written by Federico García Lorca. Perhaps vaguely inspired by real events, but set in a mythical Andalusia, the work presents us with a series of women who fear their destiny and, however, dare to challenge it beyond the norms of honor and tradition that the men of their community. With Blood Wedding, Lorca explores the great themes of love and death, with a symbolic and moral depth that makes the work a universal reference, which always questions us, moves us and fascinates us.
