Azul noche
O'Keeffe, Angela
Powerful, haunting and poetic, Blue Night is a surprising first novel narrated in large part by Jackson Pollock's Blue Posts, one of the most emblematic paintings of abstract expressionism. From this highly original angle, we witness his birth in a Long Island studio in 1952, as well as his journey from New York to Australia, where he is acquired by the government in the midst of great controversy. The novel also tells the story of Alyssa, a young art student in crisis obsessed with Pollock's work. In her eagerness to know more about the artist, she will reveal data about her destructive and sometimes violent personality, about her competitive relationship with her wife, fellow artist Lee Krasner, and so on until she reaches the car accident that cost him his life.
