Canyelles, Neus

In a café on Barcelona's Rambla, a writer sees every day a strange, decrepit and lonely woman in whom she is afraid to project her future. There he begins to recover the memory of his bright childhood: summers in a large house in the Sierra de Tramuntana and winters in the school of the city. Memories of discovering the world with her sister, family, and friends are interrupted, from time to time, by images of her afterlife that hurt her and that she refuses to accept. A prodigiously clean story about the meaning of memory and the fear of madness.
