Jürgen Neumann, a German fond of ornithology who lived in Mallorca for 40 years, appears dead in the Natural Park of s'Albufera. It is then that his daughter, née Lola, moves to the island from Berlin. The investigation by the Civil Guard speaks of murder, but Lola doesn't quite believe it. Who has died a harmless retiree like his father? And, above all, why? Perhaps the daughter didn't know as much as she thought about Jürgen's story, from the time he left the defunct GDR to his apparently quiet life in Mallorca. What if the daughter didn't know who her murdered father really was? Why hadn't that German retiree set foot in Germany again since he crossed the Berlin Wall to come to Mallorca?
