Armance

Son of an aristocratic family of old stock, the Octave of Malivert is, at the age of twenty, an enviable party, and more so now that the nobility will receive compensation for the goods stolen during the Revolution. Ingenious and cultured, his sensibility, however, does not fit with this money-hungry and unscrupulous society. In a world where everyone wants a prestigious place to assert themselves, Octave does not aspire to position itself or aspire to anything.
