Aprender a meditar
la práctica de la Atención Eficiente al alcance de todo el mundo
Sesha
Have you ever tried to meditate? Maybe you close your eyes and try to put your mind "blank". The mind, Sesha tells us, is a lot like a helium balloon. It does not fly blown by the wind in any direction, but thanks to the fact that you have it attached to your hand with a thin string. Unfortunately, on a daily basis we repeatedly let go of that string that controls the mind, plunging it into distraction and distraction. Some studies estimate that, on average, a person remains distracted for 74% of their conscious time. This book will teach you to know and train attention so that, little by little, you begin to realize when you let go of the string. And it is that, in order to survive as individuals, we have created multiple habits over time that help us in our daily subsistence, but that paradoxically keep us from happiness. Having the strength to change those habits for more stable ones, or more stable habits for deeper certainties, is not easy. For this reason, the ancient scholars of the mind proposed various strategies to develop an Efficient Attention, until they managed to lead to the achievement of their own personal fulfillment; the culmination of this process is called Meditation. Learning to control where the globe is going and training attention to be able to establish a regular meditative practice are the objectives of this work that, by the hand of one of the great Advaita teachers in the Hispanic world, finally makes it available to everyone the art of meditation.
