Antología poética
Wordsworth, William
In the course of his eventful life trajectory, Wordsworth, archetype of the vocational poet and fully aware of his work, helped to separate poetry from the elitist and limited sphere in which it had been developing up to that historical moment, offering new channels for expression poetics. The poet is for Wordsworth "a man who speaks to men," and poetry is "the spontaneous overflowing with powerful feelings" which originates from remembered emotion in a state of tranquility. Throughout his prolific and fruitful poetic work, he dealt mainly with the relationship between the poet and nature, giving rise to the epic of the romantic self reflected in "The Prelude", a true poetic chronicle and testament.
