With its colossal size, Antagonía is undoubtedly one of the highest peaks of Spanish narrative. Hailed from very early on as a masterpiece, the extraordinary scope of this novel remains unknown even to many readers due to the misunderstandings that its original publication in four installments gave rise to. Thirty years after its conclusion, Antagonía is a novel largely to be discovered, not only for the new generations -who must feel shocked by the surprising validity of its narrative approaches-, but also for the many who in their day made a partial reading of any of his "books".
