Animal negro tristeza ; Ápeiron

Animal negro tristeza ; Ápeiron

Hilling, Anja

This volume brings together two works by one of the most prestigious contemporary German playwrights, Anja Hilling, whose theatrical production is directed towards the exploration of forms. In her theater, the interaction between dialogue and narration prevails, without abandoning the issues linked to the crisis of today's society. In Animal black sadness, we accompany six people on an excursion to a forest. This apparently calm route turns, in the middle of the night, into an infernal fire. The only thing that awaits them, then, is to save their lives by facing the tragic explosion that will completely change their future. Ápeiron is a metaphor for loneliness, power, excess and pain. In this work, images of people's desire for greatness and importance are created; and how they try to rise above themselves in search of their fulfillment. The characters, finally, become vulnerable and fragile, at the same time that they talk to each other and question each other intimately based on their thoughts.
