A married couple spends a few days of vacation at the family home, in a small town. Without children, they have lived 45 years of love and intimacy. Both are teachers -he from high school, she from university- and they are close to retirement. Days are taught with the simplicity of established routines and familiar gestures. But for months now he has been feeling the vertigo of aging and a certain mental confusion. Circumstances that throw him into a strangely vital.
