Ideas like liberty or equality died along with the Earth. Now, on Mars, the balance is sustained by a strong system of castes represented by colors. To gain access to the ruling elite, the Golds must earn their place in relentless competition. But Darrow is not a gold. He is a red, forged in the bowels of hell. Sharpened by hate.
