This book begins with an attempt to reconstruct an old borrowed memory, an impossible but fertile exercise in memory, and ends with the realization that sometimes it is preferable to omit some truth in order for a story to be credible. Between one and the other, and in no strict chronological order, Algún día seré recuerdo collects forty short texts written by Marcos Giralt Torrente since the year 2000. They are articles and press reports, travel chronicles, diaries, sketches and autobiographical fragments, reflections on art and literature, and also family prints and the occasional letter, which make up a juicy compendium of the many facets that a life dedicated entirely to writing can take on.
