How many jobs have you chained in the last few years? Have you ever had something like a serious job? For the protagonist of this crazy novel, each job she gets is more unstable than the last. And also more absurd: from scrubbing the deck of a pirate ship to taking with him the ashes of her boss, to ordering an endless closet of shoes or helping a hit man. Trapped in the networks of the gig economy -the constant succession of temporary and precarious jobs-, this young woman dreams of achieving some kind of work permanence in a present in which it is not possible to think in the long term, while she distributes her free time among her eighteen boyfriends and a ghost that does not separate from her. Parable of a world in crisis, disoriented and on the verge of exhaustion, Something Temporal is a prodigy of humorous narrative in a social key, or, perhaps, a social novel from which it is extracted that the only way to think about our time is to reduce it to the absurd.
