Alferrikakoaren balioa

The oxymoron suggested by the title The Value of the Useless deserves an explanation. The paradoxical value or usefulness that I am referring to is not that which considers humanistic knowledge and, in general, all knowledge that does not produce profit as useless. It is a very different meaning, much broader, because I wanted to put at the center of my thoughts the idea of the value of knowledge whose essence or core is far from any utilitarian purpose. […] If we allow the free to die, if we refuse the creative power of the useless, if we listen only to the deadly siren song that drives us to seek profit, we will create a human race that will become sick and mad, wander and eventually die. who will lose the sense of self and life. And then, when the desertification of the spirit withers and withers us, it will be really hard to imagine that the ignorant Homo sapiens can still play a role in the task of making humanity more human.
