Alejandra Pizarnik
biografía de un mito
Piña, Cristina
Venti, Patricia
The work and influence of Alejandra Pizarnik continue to grow. Numerous readers around the world keep her literature alive and more and more researchers are dedicated to studying the still enigmatic poet. Cristina Piña wrote a first version of this biography thirty years ago and now, in collaboration with Patricia Venti, they publish this expanded edition with a huge amount of new documentation. The authors consulted the complete diaries of the writer, deposited in the Princeton University Library, along with her notebooks, drafts, correspondence and plastic works of hers; they had long conversations with friends of the poet and, above all, with her sister, Myriam; they traveled to Paris to interview the family of her father's brothers, one of whom put Alexandra up on several occasions at her house in Châtenay-Malabry. They also had access to the papers of Manuel Mujica Láinez and Silvina Ocampo at Princeton, and those of Djuna Barnes, at the University of Maryland, linked to the poet.
