Alan Turing was a British scientist recognized as the father of computer science and artificial intelligence. He studied mathematics at King's College and at Princeton University developed his interest in probability and logic. He was drafted into the British Decryption Service when WWII broke out. He created a machine to fight the Enigma, the machine through which the Nazis sent encrypted messages to their troops. Millions of lives were saved thanks to the Turing machine.
