Al final todo llega
Robles, David
A train siding, a sanatorium half destroyed by time, the old Clesa factory, old forgotten dolls. Through his photographs, the author takes us on a journey through some sets in full transit to who knows what. One might think when contemplating the images that the destination is fateful and desolate. He does not hesitate to affirm that the implicit message is recurrence, continuity. The succession of photographs encourages us to think about a Cortazarian idea that things and landscapes are how we look at them. They have a life of their own and beneath an apparent decay hides the happiness of those who enjoyed them in the first instance and left their mark on them for others to walk on and a path for other people to follow. A transitory happiness between its starting point and its ultimate end. It is not hollow because over time it comes to life again, whether thanks to the eye of the all-seeing, the photographer, or the mere viewer.
