Silva, Lorenzo
"I have always believed that the stories are there, waiting for someone to tell them. The desire to find them, find them and finally put them in writing is common to writers and journalists. That eagerness has led me from literature to journalism, where a few generous and gentle professionals have allowed me to perpetrate the chronicles contained in this book". With these words Lorenzo Silva told us introduces in what will be a long journey to the depths of evil and crime. A book that collects his best stories about the often terrible events that make up our time. This volume contains a wide selection of journalistic reports published by the author in recent years in different media. First, it brings together several pieces of criminal court with others that do not have this character properly, but that do participate in a certain way in the air of investigation. In a second part, he compiles his work on the warlike conflicts in which the West, and in particular Spain, has been involved since 2001, together with other texts that evoke the wars of the last century. Lastly, it includes interviews with several characters of disparate but undoubted interest, among them Robe Iniesta, the soul of Extremoduro, or Emmanuel Carrère: a poet and a narrator who help us interpret this dislocated world in which we live, and that these pages are intended to explore.
