A materialidade das fillas de Lupa

A materialidade das fillas de Lupa

obxectos ficcionais femininos na narrativa galega

Otero, Inma

In recent years, there has been an increase in narratives that focus on the future of the characters and, above all, the characters, as opposed to other types of plots. Among the properties from which the protagonists emerge, gender is particularly relevant. Being registered as female characters activates other satellite traits that endow them with a special attraction for art. The marginalization, the anomaly, the quantification of the body, but also the struggle, that is, the construction of an identity in conflict, open a space for unusual and allow a complex plot route. But they also confront us with a double ontological condition: to be a woman, like being a fictional character, is to be something, an object that emerges from a series of inscriptions and is part of reality, even if the inscriptions are social. In fact, the abundance of female protagonists who dedicate themselves to artistic work pairs the emergence of women and characters, since both are social objects, not natural, without this implying that they do not have the same dignity in their existence. In this way, from the point of view of the ontology of art and the new realism, the types of female fictional objects that appear in the Galician narrative of the 21st century and the inscriptions from which they arise are analyzed, from the conviction that the characters, also the characters, they exist.
