A la pell del llop

"I have seen a wolf". This is the phrase that Ulf, already in his seventies, has been mulling over without being able to confess it to anyone since he sighted a majestic specimen from his old caravan. Something breaks inside him and Ulf, one of the most respected men in the town in deep Sweden where he lives, feels an increasingly intense connection with the animal. Both are hunters, both are loners. But something has changed in Ulf. His first experiences in the woods with his father, once a source of joy, are now bitter; His pride in his hunting logs, which now look like nothing more than a list of kills, is gone. And his comfortable daily life of love and customs or the faithful company of his dog are not enough: Ulf feels as lost among his stuffed trophies as among the traditions of a community whose violence he now perceives.
