On Saturday, January 25, 2014, the Blood Brothers performance was canceled because Roger Pera, the protagonist, did not show up. He was on the couch sniffing cocaine, not answering calls from his teammates looking for him, or his family. Roger had been hooked on cocaine for years, and that was one of the moments when he hit rock bottom. He then disappeared for days, reappeared, and faced addiction (and still does today). Written in a close-knit tone, at times tragic, at others comic, this book is the sincere and honest account of his personal struggle against drugs that has been about to sink his life.
