Chejov, Anton Pavlovich
Anton Chekhov stood out for creating incredibly refined portraits of the Russian society of his time, but, following the mark of the great classics, readers everywhere and at any time find in his pages identifiable characters, characteristics, situations... in such a way that he is unanimously recognized as the father and master of modern storytelling. Most of Chekhov's stories are humorous in appearance: playful and light stories that make you laugh at the crookedness of humans; going deeper, however, he is perfectly capable of showing the sorrows of men and women, and he denounces with deep feeling the pains of those who suffer under injustice.
