Anton Chekhov stood out for creating incredibly refined portraits of the Russian society of his time, but, following the mark of the great classics, readers everywhere and at any time find in his pages identifiable characters, characteristics, situations... in such a way that he is unanimously recognized as the father and master of modern storytelling.
