According to various studies, French natives use an average of 3,000 words to talk about general topics and communicate in everyday situations. They are the so-called "most frequent words". If from them we eliminate articles, pronouns, conjunctions, verb tenses, derivatives, and the basic vocabulary that anyone with elementary knowledge of French knows (colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, etc.)... we have the 1000 words found in this book.
