Katchadjian, Pablo
The narrator of One Chance is haunted. When he wants to do certain things, the spell prevents him; not all things, but forceful and resolute actions, such as looking for a witch to help him solve his problem. In his pocket he keeps a piece of paper with the phone numbers of three witches who could undo the curse: "One is like the old ones, another is modern and the other has her own methods." But which of the three to call? Between glasses of wine, trips, journalists, ghosts and interrogations, the narrator, self-reflective and undisciplined, strives to recount his experience to find a meaning that eludes him.
