Un tret a l'aire
I Premi Margarida Aritzeta Vila de Creixell
Puigpelat, Francesc
At the end of the Second Republic, Barcelona is a nest of anarchists. There are all kinds: some are driven by the most sublime idealism, but others have made gun-running a way of life closer to common crime. Straddling each other is K, a charismatic individual named Carrión who has arrived in the city with the intention of organizing a major attack, so atrocious that it puts the movement on the lips of all of Europe. To carry out the attack he counts on Robert, the young son of Pierre Sabater, a veteran anarchist exiled for twelve years in Perpignan. Sabater will not hesitate to return to Barcelona, despite the threat of a commissioner who has never lost hope of seeing him in prison, to tear the boy from the clutches of K. A shot in the air is a portrait of the blackest face of the turbulent Barcelona of the 1930s, where economic and moral misery impoverishes both the most central streets and the most hidden periphery, but also a reminder of the strength of ideals, which bring a spark of light to so many lives darkened by injustice.
