Triana, a través del aire
el origen y la esencia del grupo andaluz más universal
Rodríguez Rodway, Eduardo
Selma Luna, Pablo
Talking about Triana is talking about the greatest musical-cultural phenomenon of the Spanish transition. Far from it its protagonists, Jesús, Eduardo and Tele, were aware that this was going to be the case; However, both the response of the public, who chose them as their generational representatives, and the repercussion they achieved when they reached every home in the country made the existence of Triana a pioneering concept in our tumultuous decade of the seventies. Many pulled their hair out, and many others saw them go by and said nothing. The specialized and not so specialized press of that time had to admit the triumph that caught everyone by surprise and that they did not understand until the young people took the group's ideology as their own. In the midst of a generational change, they reached the pinnacle of success on their own merits. It took the second half of 1974 for Teddy Bautista and Gonzalo García Pelayo to help Triana record and get a record company to start this beautiful tale of musical romanticism. Eduardo Rodríguez Rodway, founder of the group together with Jesús de la Rosa and Tele Palacios, reveals to us through his experiences the best kept secret of Triana. A valuable testimony that will lead us through the history of this trio of Andalusian musicians who decided to settle in Madrid to leave Sevillian street music reflected in Spanish popular culture, making it a universal genre for everyone.
