Tres segundos con Lacan

In the same way that Lampedusa said that Stendhal had managed to summarize a night of love in a semicolon, it could be said that Esthela Solano-Suárez has managed in three seconds with Jacques Lacan to summarize what it means to "know how to read differently." Taking her personal experience with Lacan as a starting point, Solano-Suárez shows how analysis consists of making the analysand's word pass to writing. Affirming that the analyst participates in writing implies that he is responsible for cutting the significant articulation to pass the signifier to the side of the letter.
