Tormenta roja 1944

The summer of 1944 was the confirmation of the defeat of the Axis coalition on the Eastern Front. In barely four months the fight will move from Soviet territory to the gates of Germany, in a hecatomb much greater than the best-known battle of Stalingrad. It was a desperate fight in which German forces found themselves outmatched in firepower and mobility by an enemy they continued to look down on. Any chance of ever reversing the course of the fighting in the east by vigorous defense was blown up in less than four months.
