Terror insólito, 2

Junji Ito is a creator of unusual scenarios and several examples appear in this selection of stories, such as the sky that is filled with balloons that herald death in The Gallows Balloons, a very representative story for which the author feels a predilection and for which he wrote a sequel 22 years later. Other samples are the harrowing house of Dear Ancestors, which exploits the terror of insects combined with an unusual family history, or the eerie cemetery of The Scarecrows. Junji Ito includes the extraordinary in his works with great ease, while turning the everyday into one more element of his terrifying worlds.
