Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, in 1955. At the age of twelve, at summer camp, he first saw a computer that took up an entire room and was impressed. He later became friends with Steve Wozniak, to whom he proposed to start a company together; they both shared the idea that everyone should have a personal computer at home. They built the Apple 1 in Jobs's garage. It was the first personal computer of its kind and with it began the career of one of the most successful technology companies of all time, creator of such revolutionary devices as the iPhone, iPad, iWatch, and more. Jobs fell ill with cancer and died at the age of fifty-six. Steve Jobs's incredible vision and courage to "follow his intuition" lives on today.
