Almost six hundred million people share one of the world's greatest treasures: Spanish, an invaluable intangible heritage that goes unnoticed for much of our lives. But why? How is it possible that we do not pay attention to what makes us human?. Language is the first thing we are taught when we come into this world, it determines our way of conceiving and understanding reality, and we all need words to feel part of the group. This is not a manual on the proper use of Spanish. This book aims to share through the written word that a language is a living element, that nothing is stagnant in it, that the ways of communicating evolve and that the speakers are the engine of the language. Because words have great power to define the present we live in and the future we want to achieve.
