Manuel Lomas is a retired journalist turned community manager, lonely and disappointed with his profession and life. His pact with resignation blows up when Núria, a philosophy teacher and environmental activist, contacts him. He has long been investigating the dark background of the Bages potash mining business, a serious ecological danger. Núria's vitality and idealism breaks Manuel's armor and together they begin to pull the few murky threads that remain uncovered. The investigation, however, which soon stinks of political and business corruption, opens a gap of hope for them. Perhaps it will be the path to personal redemption and, in a way, to an entire profession, investigative journalism, which for years ceased to exercise its function of counterpower.
