She seems destined for a bright future, and her literature teacher, the young and charismatic Mr. Beckett, is always ready to praise her for her writing, and to discuss books with her. But there comes a day when "Bex" goes too far and comes on to her. Marin is shocked, horrified. Has she incited Him in any way? Was it your fault? When Marin has the courage to explain it to the institute's management, no one believes her.
